Volunteer Action is partly funded by grants from Local Authorities & the NHS, but also relies on donations from individuals & organisations, & its own fund-raising activities.  Following an earlier success with the Oundle Monopoly game, Oundle Volunteer Action’s latest fund-raising initiative is The Oundle Jigsaw.  Based on an original illustration by Gillian Dolby of Oundle’s Dolby Gallery, the 1000-piece jigsaw features shops & other buildings in the town centre, plus a host of residents & other pedestrians, both real & imaginary, going about their daily business.  Completing  the jigsaw is likely to prove a real challenge, even for seasoned ‘dissectologists’ (the name given to jigsaw enthusiasts).  And for all residents, & those who work or attend school in the town, plus tourists & other visitors, the jigsaw should prove to be a much sought-after souvenir of all that Oundle offers.

VA wish to acknowledge the generosity of Gillian Dolby in allowing her image to be used, & also to thank Simon Dolby for his help with the artwork for the jigsaw box, & storage & distribution of the jigsaws.  Thanks are also due to Liz Turnbull & Jane Fenton at Oundle School, & to The Coleman Group, for their support with the project.

The jigsaw retails at £20.00 & is available at The Oundle Bookshop, Colemans Stationers & Dolby Gallery.  All proceeds from sales of the jigsaw will go to the VA charity.
