Thursday 4 September – Oundle Market
To all Volunteers and Friends of Volunteer Action
Once more Volunteer Action will be sharing a produce stall with the Museum Trust at which we shall be selling cakes, biscuits, scones, jam, marmalade and home grown produce and many other delicious things made by Friends of the two long-standing organisations. The date: Thursday 4th September. The place: The Thursday Market in the Market Place.
In the last two years we have had a magnificent response to our request for bakers and bottlers, and we should be delighted to have your support again. If you would like to offer some home made produce, we would be happy to receive it on Wednesday 3rd September from 3.45 to 6.00 at 2 Stoke Hill, Oundle (almost next to the VA office). If that is not convenient, please contact me by email – rveit@waitrose.com – or phone – 01832 274326 – a few days beforehand, and we’ll happily make alternative arrangements. Please remember: it is really important that cakes are carefully wrapped and jar tops securely fastened. If the produce has nuts in it, please indicate that on the label. Every year we find that nicely presented produce sells in a flash. Small cakes are extremely popular, especially among those who live alone.
Thank you, thank you! We look forward to being inundated with wonderful – and probably fattening – produce.
